OVERVIEW
The 3 year Vocational Musical Theatre course delivers practical, individual focused, industry relevant training.
Each of the three years is essential to the process of nurturing and encouraging each student in their own unique process towards fulfilling their maximum potential.
Renaissance Musical Theatre course students receive specialist industry training from our world class faculty of professionals, as well as gaining from their expert advice and connections within the sector.
YEAR 1
Providing a thorough grounding to to attain full understanding of each core subject. Each technique is broken down to achieve a solid physical foundation to build consolidation and develop strength.
Establishing a performers “lifestyle” developing a healthy thinking and able performer to meet the necessary physical challenges of professional training. Continual monitoring and assessments are made with the focus on each students individual needs.

YEAR 2
Students expand repertoire and the ability to become more diverse and multi-functioning, whilst continuing to advance in all core subjects. Focusing on each individuals needs for their chosen career path. Students are encouraged to push their boundaries and sheer physicality to gain greater performance confidence. Continued monitoring and individual appraisal and advice is at the forefront to discover each individuals full potential.

YEAR 3
Preparing each student to be “Industry Ready” for their chosen path.
Professional Skills are key. Advise is given on compiling an ‘artistes’ CV, audition technique, portfolio shots, showreel and individual career aims are addressed. Audition technique, professional etiquette, personal image, self-promotion, and industry networking are featured to assist each students transition.
- Consolidating Individual Audition Repertoire portfolios for music and monologues suitable for all genres in Musical Theatre.
- Industry Lectures including Equity, West End Agents, Producers, Directors and Choreographers offering first hand knowledge and information on gaining professional contracts.
- Self Employed Accountancy advice for performers operating as self employed
- Opportunity to attend selective castings subject to brief breakdown suitability. Many Students benefit from professional work experience accessed through Renaissance Arts varied industry contacts whilst being selected by choreographers, directors and producers during lectures at college.
- Upon Graduation, 3rd year students have the opportunity to showcase their accomplished talent before respected agents, casting directors choreographers and producers from across the industry.
