3 YEAR COURSES WITH EXTENDED LEVEL 3 BTEC

3 Year Dance and Musical Theatre courses

(Integrated BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts)

Focus on specialist Industry led training on the grounding and underpinning of correct technique, progressing through the three years in a highly effective curriculum of practical performance training. Students leave uniquely prepared for a long term career as a professional performer in their chosen field.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • Available to applicants aged 16-19 years
  • Minimum entry requirements 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades 4 or above
  • Applicants must be accepted via Audition
QUALIFICATIONS
The Level 3 Extended BTEC courses (Equivalent to 3 A-levels)  are for performers aged 16-19 years (who have previously not studied at an equivalent level) and is integrated into the 3 Year vocational training programmes. Around 80% of the training hours (31 per week x 38 weeks per year) are practical contact training and 20% tutor led theory & coursework sessions. Students are also required to to put in additional study and coursework hours outside of their timetable in order to complete the Qualification.
During the third year of professional study (the industry year), students may have the option to also complete their Level 4 ISTD Diploma in Dance Education, depending on their progress during years 1 & 2. This will provide the skills and an industry recognised Qualification, to teach following their performance career or in between professional contracts.
SUCCESS
Upon graduation, students transition straight into the industry, with many students having attended Auditions during their final term, supported by the faculty. For students who wish to seek representation, we have a renowned network of Management and Agency contacts. 
Renaissance Arts Alumni go on to achieve professional contracts in the UK and abroad such as Mamma Mia UK & International Tour, Starlight Express (Bochum, Germany), The Bodyguard UK Tour & The Bodyguard Musical Denmark, Disney, P&O Cruises, Cunard, QDOS Entertainment Pantomimes, ITV Dramas, Tanz Der Vampire (Vienna), Stage & TV promotional contracts, The National Theatre.

FEES 

Renaissance Arts is an independent Conservatoire and students pay tuition fees privately. These fees are highly competitive with other UK Conservatoires and we can offer the following options to assist financially:
  • Funding is sourced for each BTEC student to the value of £2000.00, per year across Year one & Year two.
  • The remaining tuition fees can be paid in instalments, usually Termly or Monthly.
  • Financially regulated Payments plans are also available over an extended period with a low interest rate. Please contact info@renaissance-arts.co.uk to discuss this further.
  • Additional Scholarships & Bursaries are available and every student is accessed on an individual basis at the discretion of the Directors.
For the educational year 2023-2024, the  Course Fees are £5905.00 (including BTEC bursary deduction).
A Non-refundable Administration fee of £245.00 is due on acceptance of the contract, which includes a Medical examination.
