The 3 year Vocational Musical Theatre course delivers practical, individual focused, industry relevant training.
Each of the three years is essential to the process of nurturing and encouraging each student in their own unique process towards fulfilling their maximum potential.
Renaissance Musical Theatre course students receive specialist industry training from our world class faculty of professionals, as well as gaining from their expert advice and connections within the sector.
Practical Studies
Intensive practical training in the following core subjects:
Vocal Technique • Acting • Accent & Articulation • Acting Through Song • Ballet • Technical Jazz • Contemporary • Commercial • Tap • Pas De Deux • Vocal Harmony • Repertoire
Contextual Studies
Supporting a rigorous practical physical training program, students utilise the following studies increasing understanding and personal development:
Music Theory • Music Theatre History • Anatomy and Physiology
Performance Support
Health and Nutrition • Body Conditioning and Fitness • Injury prevention and Rehabilitation
Qualifications
ISTD DDE
Students on this course have the option to study and complete examinations to achieve the ISTD Diploma in Dance Education (Level 4 Qualification). Examination and assessment fees apply in addition to the full time vocational course fees (see fees page).
BTEC +
Students who are studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma qualification at 13-18 hours per week, can also access an elevated vocational training schedule at an additional 15-20 hours per week. Private fees apply (see fees page).
