Blog – Open Day 2016

Renaissance Arts Open Day 2016 was an overwhelming success today, with classes for both full-time students and scholars demonstrating their talent and versatility.

From Ballet to Jazz, Vocals to Drama, Musical Theatre to Commercial, the day has been a showcase of Renaissance Arts beliefs in creating the next generation of professional performers.

We would like to thank the support of all who attended in observing and participating with the classes today. The Directors and faculty of Renaissance Arts thoroughly enjoyed welcoming you into their lessons. 

This month we celebrate our 5 year anniversary and we look forward to continuing to set the highest standards of training in the UK

Cats continues its dominance of theatre around the world with its recent revival at the London Palladium and 2 years on from Joel’s first Masterclass with Renaissance Arts we are delighted to announce his return to Leeds for what is certain to be another inspiring day of repertoire and choreography from one of the best in the business.

Training: Joel trained with Gillian Cartwright and later at the Central School of Ballet London.

Dirty Dancing Guest Masterclass @ Renaissance Arts

Dirty Dancing Cast Members (Claire Rogers and Lewis Kirk) came in today for another great industry masterclass with the full time students.  The students looked at the finale audition routine and learned a great deal from two of the industries top professionals.

 Claire Rogers (head shot)On Tuesday 2nd November Claire Rogers (Penny) DIRTY DANCING will be teaching a masterclass to Renaissance Arts Students.  Claire’s credits also include Chicago, Moulin Rouge & La Varieté.   We are delighted and welcome the Royal Ballet trained professional to our esteemed list of guest faculty two weeks after the college visited Leeds Grand Theatre to watch the show.
